Stainless Steel 410 Sheet is a martensitic grade of steel plate. The material is corrosion resistant to general corrosive services. Suryadeep Industry is a leading manufacturer of the Stainless Steel 410 Plates in different types, shapes and dimensions. The material is composed of iron, carbon, chromium, nickel, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur. SS 410 Sheets have 11.5% chromium in the composition which provides the corrosion resistance properties. To improve the corrosion resistance, the SS 410 Circle and other forms of sheets could be hardened, tempered and polished. Quenching and tempering of the material can harden the SS UNS S41000 Plates. All types of martensitic steels need to be finally heat treated after production. They are suitable for low temperatures to mild temperatures because they tend to lose the strength and at elevated temperatures and at cryogenic temperatures.
The SS 410 Coils are another form of the sheets that can be used in mild temperature applications. The AISI 410 Plate can have minimum yield strength up to 1005MPa if annealed and at 204 degrees Celsius and minimum yield strength of 1475MPa at the same temperature range. However, the SUS 410 Plate drops in strength at high temperatures such as 650 degrees Celsius with minimum yield strength of 270MPa and minimum tensile strength of 300MPa. The 410 Stainless Steel Hot Rolled Plates and cold rolled plates are available in the market. This martensitic grade of steel is used to make bolts, screws, bushings and nuts due to its high toughness. The ASTM A240 Stainless Steel 410 Shim is used in high stress environments where the shim has to bear stress from two sides with two components. The petroleum fractionating structures, mine ladder rungs, gas turbines, shafts, valves and pumps are some other applications where the Sheets Stainless Steel 410 Cold Rolled Plates are used. Grade | Reasons for choosing the grade |
416 | High machinability is required, and the lower corrosion resistance of 416 is acceptable. |
420 | A higher hardened strength or hardness than can be obtained from 410 is needed. |
440C | A higher hardened strength or hardness than can be obtained even from 420 is needed |
Equipment | Size Range | Standard Internal Tolerances (Inch) |
---|---|---|
Dynamic Waterjet | 20 Gauge sheets through 8 inch thickness range, Our two largest table sizes are: 124″x 241″ and 78.8” X 305.5” | Part tolerances of ±.030” is standard. Tolerances of ±.005” can be provided. Tolerances may vary depending on thickness |
Plasma | Up to 6.25″ thickness, Plasma Table Size = 10ft X 65ft. 410 Stainless steel Sheet can be plasma cut from 3/16″ thick thru 6.25″ thick. |
Varies by thickness. State of the art equipment enables significantly better tolerances than older plasma technologies. |
