Rockstar 500 TUF Wear Plate is one of the many plate types in the Rockstar family of steels. The TUF is a high wear and tear resistant, abrasion resistant group of steels. All of these three properties being in just one Abrasion Resistant 500 HI-TUF Steel Plate make it look like a super power. The mechanical properties of Rockstar 400 and 450 are combined together in one plate and that result in 500 TUF Abrasion Resistant Steel Plates having no real competition in the market. The material is made into plates with different dimensions. The thickness ranges from 3m to 25.4mm, the width ranges up to 3350mm and the length ranges up to 14630mm.
The Steel Rockstar 500 TUF Plates have the hardness value ranging from 475 to 505 the thin sheets have low hardness where the thick plates have high hardness. The strength however, is in the reverse order of 500 HI-TUF Plates thickness. The thicker the plate, the strength is low, the thinner the sheet the strength is good up to 1400 MPa minimum yield strength. This is five times the strength of ordinary steel. The abrasion resistance of the 500 TUF Rockstar Sheets makes the material applicable in harsh and wearing conditions and applications such as excavating components and earth moving components of big machineries.
