What is ASTM A182 316 Stainless Steel Weldolet Fittings?
weldolet is the most common of all branch connections, and is welded onto the outlet pipe. The ends are bevelled to facilitate this process, and therefore the weldolet is considered a butt-weld fitting. Weldolet’s are designed to minimize stress concentrations and provide integral reinforcement.
Stainless Steel 316 is an austentic steel comprising molybdenum which provides overall better corrosion resistance. This steel also provides higher resistance than SS 304, particularly to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. This superior steel does not require post weld annealing when welding thin sections. It also has excellent strength and even down to cryogenic temperature.

All Olet fittings are inspected before leaving the factory, undergoing three separate quality control systems: one for material control, one for manufacturing and one for design control. Branch Connection forgings also undergo frequent checks against mill documents during the manufacturing process to assure the highest compliance with ASME and ASTM specifications. Plus, comprehensive record keeping of every fitting from initial forging bar through forging, heat treatment, machining, storage and shipment means every fitting is traceable to the exact material and process used in its manufacture.
ALL Steel Pipes is an integrated supplier of ASTM A182 316 Stainless Steel Weldolet with in-house forging, machining and assembly-test inspection operations. The forge shop contains a full line of forging equipment including billet saws and shears, billet heating furnaces and induction heaters, forge presses and hammers, trim presses and batch heat treatment equipment. All necessary support equipment including a forge die shop capable of in-house manufacture is located at this facility.
Our machining and assembly operations have a complete line of metal removal equipment including turning, boring, milling, drilling, grinding, polishing, welding and have testing equipment to manufacture forged steel fittings and valves. This facility also contains all the necessary equipment to support these operations including work holding and cutting tool needs.
In addition, ALL Steel Pipes is working in conjunction with machine tool builders to improve its manufacturing capabilities through a selective process of machine tool designs and purchases. Capital expenditures for forging and machining operations support our long-term growth through capacity gains and productivity.
